2020 Wrangler JL Recall - lower control arm bracket and weld

Who is the Vendor responsible ? Who is responsible for inspecting these parts as they come off the line, ditto for acceptance at the Wrangler assembly plant ??

My picture shows that the weld missed the control arm bracket on one side. No, it is not a good thing. My VIN also does not show as impacted on the NHTSB site, and my connect app is no longer showing that mine is part of the recall. Earlier when I logged in it was showing as an "issue", however now it is not. On the recall site mine is no longer showing as impacted, but my Jeep front axle clearly has the problem. My guess is that the 3000 impacted units may be a bit off. However getting it fixed may be a whole different struggle. In my case my closest dealership said that they can't do anything until FCA has a fix and send that information out. So until then I am driving a Jeep with the control arm bracket not welded on one side. I doubt I'll have any issues, but who knows.

I just checked the Mopar site and my VIN is not involved in this recall (or so it seems). The website says that the site was last updated today.... I’ll keep an eye on it......

Jesus, that would not be a fun day if that bracket broke. Especially on the highway God forbid.

The folks who make Dana axles are the culprit here, I think.

I am surprised that a production machine can be out of whack for about 3 months before anyone notices...... but, that said, I know nothing of manufacturing.

The date is on your driver door sticker.

You can also go to the Mopar recall site and type in your VIN. I am not sure, given the one poster above that said he did have a VIN notice earlier and now doesn’t, how accurate the info is right now.

if accurate, my VIN .... build date 10-20-19 is not included in the recall.

How do I know the built date?

Date is on the driver door sticker look for “MDH: XXXXXX”. That will tell you the Month, day, and hour that the car was built..... I am 102000..... oct 20 at midnight.

also, type your vin into the Mopar site and check for recall.

Mine was built in August 2019, you can see my post in here with picture that my 2020 Rubicon has this issue for sure. I only checked the one bracket, I'm sure others are also off.

there is no recall listed under my vin# as per mopar website, but I check my date of build was 080719, within the range, should I be all released or better check be sure?

btw, what is lower control arm, where is it? I know car LCA is a triangle bracket, but what wrangler supposed to be a 4link suspension.
