First time Jeep owner. Love my Jeep. I use my Jeep as a daily driver and I want to do some light trails until I can see if this is something I want to invest in further.

I really like the look of the Moab wheels. I would prefer to just mount a larger tire on them. Would putting a 2" Boro wheel adapter plus installing the Mopar high top fenders and liners give me enough space for 35s and a decent amount of articulation. Don't get me wrong I love the 32" MTs I have but I think widening the stance and putting some aggressive ATs would reduce some road noise and be a better all around drive. Lastly, I am really not interested in lifting the vehicle.

Thoughts?

Also, Don't laugh at the lug covers. I was testing to see if I would like wheels with some red.

I like the red lugnuts :)
I wouldn't go 35s, mainly due to the high gearing w/ the Sport. A 285/75/70 is a tire many are running around here, it's 34" tall, not as wide as that 35, so you may be able to run them w/out any wheel spacers. You could always start without spacers and add only if needed. If you really want a bit more tire a 315/70/17 will be a bit easier on the gears vs a true 35x12.5, but spacers would become almost a must. Those high cut fenders should help w/ your plan quite a bit :)
Here's a good thread on those 285/75/17 tires (gonna be my next tire size I run).

Great. Thanks for the response. Will those tires fit stick Moab wheels?

Good looking Willys Thad.

As mentioned you can put the larger tires on your stock wheels if you prefer. If we can help you with your tire selection please let us know.

If you want a quiter tire, go with the Falken AT3Ws or the BFG AT KO2s. The Ridge Grappler has an aggressive tread.

I'm with you. I really like the Firestones on my Willys, except for the noise. The ride and fuel mileage is more than acceptable.

As said above, the 285/75/17s will fit the wheel without issue. A 1" spacer lift may be needed though. Or springs from a Rubicon.

Why a spacer? I know the springs are Sport and not Rubi.

My wife notices the noise more than I do. I did put the Hothead headliner in with the Butyl strips. That helped. Lots of noise from windshield more than anything. You can't do anything about that. I was hoping to just put the high top fenders and liners in to give it more space after the tire upgrade.

Thinking about adding 1.75 teraflex wheel spacers to my stock 2021 Willys. Can not find any pics with the stock Firestone tires. Wanted to run these until I’m ready to buy new tires
