It's opened up for 2020 Wranglers now, we are picking up tomorrow!
Thanks for the heads-up. That is good news! Now I just need the Advanced Safety Group to become available so I can submit my order.

Nope. My wife's Pilot has the Auto braking/advanced cruise, and the former is annoying and the latter we never use. We're driving 5+ hours as a write this and no thought of using cruise at all. I'm all for the nanny systems if they keep you from hitting me, but I've been driving for 30+ years without any at fault incidents, mainly because I, you know, pay attention. I did get the safety package, because I do use blind spot monitoring.
Not gonna lie, I rented a Nissan Rogue in Toronto, and adaptive Cruise control is real convenient. But it’s not life changing. you can essentially stay on the far right lane, and not have to touch your brakes.

I can't stand adaptive cruise - it slows down well before I would normally change lanes to go around slower traffic. Next thing I know I"m doing 60 mph in a 70 zone where I would normally be doing 80

Yeah, I've used it a couple of times, but it felt like more of a novelty. Other drivers are just too stupid, and I've had the system slam on the brakes before when a car has entered my lane many car lengths ahead, where a light deceleration would have more than sufficed.

On my wife’s Honda you can adjust the distance between vehicles for the braking to be applies. A Sequioa we recently rented did the same. The default is really annoying to your point.

there was an interesting test done by one of the car magazines to "trick" adaptive cruise systems. apparently a mylar balloon completely freaks the systems out - I guess it looks like a floating car ahead all of the sudden. Every one of them slammed the brakes for a balloon.
