I’m getting ready to install some lights and when I took the cowl off I found this. Is this a hookup for a pod light? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I’m brand new to Jeeps. And I have the aux switch package

Thanks in advance for any help!

Do you have one under the right side cowl?

The wiring diagran shows an ASSY PDC AUX connector on the left hand side. There are upfitter connections for companies to add devices. Might be one of those.

Haven’t had a chance to check the right side yet. Will do in a little while.

Thanks for the info. I’ll have to look it up.

I seen that too and wondered what it was.
I'm in to find out.
If I remember correctly, this connector was mentioned on the forum in the past and the connector is not for Aux lights nor can it be used for same. We'll see if I my memory serves me right.

If I remember correctly that’s the piggy tail to the harness for the FCW warning module in the windshield. My guess would be you do not have ACC/FCW?

Correct, I do not have that. You’re probably right.

I just saw this a couple weeks ago and wondered the same. FCW would make sense.

well technically... if you find the other end and cut them, you can use them for anything you want (assuming they handle the load). wire is wire.

@Dave928

Yes, wire is wire ... but...

I'm not one to bastardize a factory harness and for very good reasons... and yes even an unused harness..

Not that I haven't done minimally invasive tampering with factory wiring, but again, I try hard to avoid doing same.

Easier and usually more prudent, just to run your own line.
