Seriously, please go trade your Jeep for a Prius. We don’t drive Jeeps worrying about gas mileage. Give me a break. How about instead of worrying about your Wrangler gas mileage you find something else to dwell on. Maybe start a thread on steering issues or wind noise or water leaks or ...

If you're not interested in MPG, stay off the thread. How easy is that?

Thanks for the replies. Haven't driven hardly at all with all the crap that's been going on, so unsure if anything is any different. But I am looking forward to figuring it out.

2019 jl sport 2 door. 3.6 8 spd auto. all stock with hard top. coming up on 8500 miles. i'm getting 17 to 19.5 town driving. 21 to 29.6 mpg on the hyway doing 70 to75 mpg with a/c on. couple of factors with the wide range mpg for me. one is the town is mix between city like and sorta county like driving. the hyway is parkway 2 lane road to interstate. the other factory is the gas which i use 87. in the winter season the gas is a winter blend so you'll see a drop or two in the mpg. i'm an easy driver and not lead footing the gas pedal.

29.6 mpg? I'll raise you to 43.9 on the dash mpg gauge. Oh wait, I was going down a long, steep hill at the time.

For the first 12K miles, I was getting about 20.5 highway, 19 city. But just here lately I've been getting about two and a half weeks to the gallon. Astounding.

And the price to fill up now deserves a honorable mention.

I rent jeeps 3-4 time a year in saltlake and drive to jackson hole, wy most are sport, Sahara and i avg 19-20 for the whole trip and i drive the crap out of them 85-90mph on the freeway. They all get way better milage than my 2019 JLUR 3.6, auto here in south TX. Im getting avg of 13-14 driving 70-75 on the hwy with my rubicon. I'm not really happy with it. Plus mine doesn't like to shift in to 8th gear.

What is the main difference between the rentals and your personal jeep?

Nothing other than i have a rubicon with 10,000 miles and the others are sports and Saharas with 0-50,000miles. I do have 315-70/17 cooper tires now but this was going on with the stock BFG's that came on it. If this corona crap ever ends i'll be renting one to head to the Tetons Maybe in may/June and i'm going to video it so i have proof to show my dealer ship!!!
