Don't remember my 2018 JLUR's gas mileage being this bad when new. I got an average of 17-18 highway/city. I can do 55 on the highway in 2020 and get a reading of 12-13 MPG. When I drive like I normally would on the highway, 76-77, OMG, total crap, like 8-9 MPG. Should I be concerned that something's going on? I've only put about 350 miles on it.

I am not lifted and basically stock. A few mods likely adding a few hundred pounds. BFG KO2s. Rubicon. I have about 2,000 miles on it.

I get about 17 miles around town average. I don’t drive a whole lot on the freeway so I don’t know but when I do drive it’s normally 18-20+ mpg range.

if you are really getting the miles you report, I would go talk to your dealer.

I don't go by the Jeep computer...I divide miles by gallons and have never gotten a tank under 20mpg doing all kinds of city and freeway driving.

just comparing 2018/2020 computer stats. I'll try it that way and see what I get. Thanks

I have a two door and I’ve been getting 17 mph hwy/city. I keep checking for the mpg
to go up but it won’t budge :( I only have about 2800 so hopefully as the miles go up so will the mpg.

I have a 2019 JL Sport S 2 door, 3.6L 8 speed auto, stock with just shy of 8K miles. I live along the Colorado Front Range where you would think mileage would naturally be a little lower, (altitude, snow, wind, hills, etc). Mostly city driving with a fair amount of stop and go. I do use ESS, and definately not a lead-foot. I'm getting a little better than those reporting here however. I'm routinely high 24 mpg. Screen shots from today in the mid 25's. Verify routinely with gallons filled over miles driven. Most of the time the Engine Controller calculation is accurate. When it's wrong it is generally low by about a half mpg.

2020 JLUR soft top here. And I'm getting enough miles to finally chime in.
Avg so far, only 800 miles ±, is about 19mpg

I drove across town on the freeway, 65-70mph, top down, and got 17.0mpg
Did the same drive a few days later, top up, and got almost 21mpg
Big factor, at speed, as you'd expect.

Short trips, or off-road, is obviously much worse and is in the 14-15 range. But that too is to be expected.

In general, I'm just ecstatic about the fuel economy. Long trips, she'll do just fine and maybe get 400 miles between fillups.
In the southwest here, you need that range sometimes to even get to a nice trail or camping for the weekend.

Overall our JLUR is now 17.3mpg which is ok considering it has been going up and down mountain roads all winter in snow. Has the V6 with 8 spd auto combo. If you have been getting less than 10 double check using a full tank trip odometer measure to gallon calculation. Sometimes the electronic dash estimate can be off. We always do the hand calculation.
