I went to Tribe site and couldn't find the rear plate shown in the video. Is this a special order? I sent a email but haven't heard anything yet.

I'm fairly certain you need to special order it. I'm not sure how much the Tribe-16 folks are on here.

Mine just arrived this week, still in the box. Would mine have the new access panel?

I have an older skid plate and was wondering how difficult it is going to be to change the fuel filter and water filter.
you have to remove the skid from what I can tell. that is why I asked if it had the access port or not. some pictures show a port, others do not. I will wait for the new batch with the access hatch as I don't want to mess with pulling that skid down in AZ heat to service the fuel filter.

Bad design.

Bad design.
even without the access port its one of the best (only) Diesel options out there. the way the Metalcloak mounts its not as bad to remove a skid since they have the larger holes and washer design bolts. I have run Metalcloak and Motobilt on my 2019 and 2020 JLURs and Metalclak was easier to remove and replace once they had a lot of use. the Motobilt has countersunk bolts and smaller bolt holes so once they deform at all they are harder to deal with. there are pros and cons to both ways of mounting though. With that said, I will take an access hatch over no hatch anyday, even if it means waiting for the new batch to come out.

My understanding is that Artec (@Artec) is very close to releasing their diesel aluminum skid system. With the added weight of the diesel, I am very much looking forward to having a great low weight option. From the calculations I have done (Diesel Build - 2020 Sting-Gray JLURD | Page 2 | 2018+ Jeep Wrangler Forums (JL / JLU) - Rubicon, Sahara, Sport, Unlimited - JLwranglerforums.com) , adding a 175lb steel skid on top of the standard mods (bumpers, winch, rock rails, hinge reinforcement, etc) will take you over axle weight rating as soon as you start putting passengers in the vehicle.
