If the price is where you wanna be buy it. You could even work with the dealer for a stereo swap as part of the deal.

Ours had about 60 miles on it upon delivery...and it had an interesting story.

Early April, 2020, the world is Covid crazy and the Toledo plant is shutdown, I had sold my other vehicle had cash in hand and new EXACTLY the Jeep I wanted, Rubicon loaded with options, diesel and Punk'n...good frigg'n luck. My local dealer just gave me a run-around so we used the Jeep locator on their website and ran nearly every ZIP code in the USA and found precisely ONE vehicle that matched my requirements...in Little Rock Arkansas!

I talked to the dealer on the phone and arranged the sale. Flew to Arkansas and drove home making a 3k mile 2 week road trip home in the midst of Covid. Everywhere was essentially deserted and we had a GREAT time. Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas. New Mexico, Arizona, Utah.

Since then "Chuck" (named after Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin) has had plenty of adventures here in Utah, including Moab.

Check out the YouTube link too...

Can you post the link to some good Jeep locators. I'm now sold on the 190miles issue. Its now the 5" radio.. I definitely can't live with that. This would be my second Pumkin. Yours looks damn good btw.

Somewhat similar story to mine. Sans COVID

A year ago I found my Sahara a sitting on a dealer lot 1,000 miles away, near SLC, UT. Agreed on the final price on the phone; put down a deposit. Flew down, picked it up, and drove it back to NW WA.

I’d do it all over again.

Locating a Jeep on the internet is a PITA. My wife and I both searched using The jeep/mopar locator using ZIP codes. Our PC's have two monitors, one had a Google ZIP map of the USA and the other screen the Mopar locator. The locator will only give you a 150 mile radius so it entails a ton of searching. Between the two of us it took all day, but it was worth the struggle.

GOOD LUCK in your search!!

Not pumpkin, but mine had 106 on the odo when I picked it up. Took it from the dealer and went up into Birds of Prey canyon for a little off road. Had over 225 on it when we got back home.

180 miles could (probably does) mean eighteen 10 mile test drives, all cold starts, and seeing how the power comes on without a proper warm-up. We've all done it - with test cars, at least. If you can live with that, and it's a good deal (you can get 2021s at 5% below invoice), I'd consider it.

Personally I always pass on test-driven cars. I'm always worried that some yo-yo, with the salesman urging them on, redlined it through the gears with the oil temperature at 5 degrees higher than room temperature.
This.

I'm reminded every day, when pulling away from a stoplight, that a plurality of drivers do not have mechanical sympathy for their vehicles. How much less so when test driving a fancy new one in which they have no stake, no investment?

We've not "all done it", though; I respect what isn't mine and treat test drives with the same care as what I already own. This is plainly the minority position, however, which is why I too always pass on demonstrator cars & trucks.

It's great that folks that have purchased such vehicles have enjoyed good ownership experiences. My parents are part of this constituency, actually. Each of us pays our money and we each makes our choice.

Mine had over 100 miles because it had been test driven over the ~13 months it was sitting on the lot. No issues. Two of those test drives were by me, plus a load of miles between the dealer lot and its off-site storage lot that was ~10 miles away. If your jeep can't handle a half dozen extra cold starts it's gonna fall apart before the warranty anyway. Don't sweat it. Modern oils are amazing.

I treated my Jeep very gently during test drives because it's not my car and I didn't want to mess it up if I didn't end up buying it. So much so the salesman commented about it. I'm probably in the minority but I treat test drive vehicles with respect.

Punk'n is a GREAT color and was my #2 choice after Hellayella. I just couldn't find a low option 4-door Punk'n with a 6MT anywhere nearby, much less for a decent price.

I have the 5" radio and it's perfectly fine. Not being able to turn down the volume for a few seconds on startup is very annoying but I almost always turn it down to 0 when I park anyway out of habit from other vehicles that do the same thing. The only thing I wish I had is Apple CarPlay to get nav and Siri voice-to-text functionality but I don't miss it that much. I also strongly prefer the manual HVAC controls after reading some of the auto climate control issues on the forum.

Buy it and enjoy it. You won't remember the 200 miles on the odo once you've had it for a few months anyway. I certainly don't.

That is true. Jeep.com is particularly bad.

I use cargurus.com. It is much user-friendly.

I discovered some tricks to get cargurus to list NEW vehicles that are 2+ years old still sitting unsold at dealerships... That’s how I found mine.

Agree. Jeep.com is useless - especially if you want a 6MT. It'll find all sorts of automatic partial matches which is not at all what I wanted.

I think I used a combination of autotrader and cargurus. Took awhile to sift through all the base Sports that I didn't want - I needed the Sport S - but ultimately I got very lucky finding one within 5 miles of my work that was exactly the spec I wanted (minus cold weather package which I wish I had) and had been sitting about a year when I first approached the dealer about it. I ended up getting a great deal for my low-option Sport S Unlimited.

While 190 miles isn't ideal, it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. Might be better to have some miles on it rather than sitting for months on end with no starts.

Why not? They order a new radio and bezel unplug one and plug in the other. They may not WANT to, but they can. Alternatively, you could go to the for sale listing on this site buy one there and install yourself if it’s really that big a deal to you.

That explains why the dealer kept ignoring my request to expand the search to 250 or 500miles. I am going to post and all hands search on this form.
