Allowing for drive train losses, the bhp is right on, but the torque is a little short.

HP: 218.33 @ 3680 RPM
TQ: 347.35 @ 3190 RPM
4th Gear

Considering the Ram 1500 3.0 puts out 480, a simple chip tune will solve any torque deficit.

Someone has edited my post twice: changed the title (from "dyno run"), and added the bhp/torque grid from 4th gear. Not that I'm complaining about the changes, but I'm concerned that someone (moderator?) is adding to MY posts - I should be the only one who can change them.. Seems very odd (and...inappropriate).

That is kind of weird. I'm also interested in hearing the answer.

I'd like to know what model dyno, and if 4th is direct in the 8HP75. I've been looking for the gear ratio's in this trans, and can't seem to find them published anywhere.

Which is precisely the reason why absolute numbers from dynos shouldn't be taken too seriously.

What ever is being compared for hp/torque has to be dynoed on the same dyno at nearly the same time and it has to be done a few times because there's also heat soak.

6th gear is 1:1 and there are charts on Allpar website that show gear ratios.

Thank you for posting trans gearing.
Also curious why they dyno pulled in 4th gear ?

That torque curve doesn't make sense at all. And, it doesn't match the curve FCA showed for the 3rd Gen EcoDiesel during press launch. I'm very skeptical of this video.

But thanks for posting. Good to see that companies are working on things.

Wouldn’t the 4th gear ratio of 1.67 increased torque verses the 1:1 ratio?
No. Dynos measure torque at the wheels and calculate it back to engine torque based on engine RPM alone.
