2020 Jeep Wrangler Valve Body defect

Well if Jeep can't produce parts then they need to close the doors. I understand break downs. Brand new 40,000. Jeep 2021 Wrangler with 560 miles and you can't find a simple valve body or complete transmission. 850RE transmission isn't new.

I agree, I can understand a vehicle breaking down, but just not straight out of the lot. That will never be ok with me. Furthermore, not having the part available is worse. All the research I’ve done online regarding the valve body looks like people have waiting several months. This to me is just unacceptable. I am a first responder, and I can’t do what I do in a mini van rental. We all deserve our Jeeps back in a timely manner.

The part number that is needed is 68408601AF and the difference between AF and the one that ends in AE is that the AF part is the newly modified part or improved part and AE is the part that was before, the one that was improved upon

Above email was what's the difference in part # 68408601AE and 68408601AF question I asked.. So it seems the improved part isn't so good.. Common sense would be if the older part works and there wasn't issues use the old part#. I'm still waiting for eta on valve body. I hope who ever told you March they contact FCA and let us all know. On another thread I have posted on this forum you can follow it as well and see three others are waiting as well. Best of luck with yours.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Customer Care Is trying to locate part. With not any part to be found.
I'm not sure what Jeep care does. I did message them they were zero help they replied back with it looks like fca is helping you. So frustrated and waiting.

My 2018 Sahara needed the whole trans replaced. Eleven weeks at the dealer! There are many threads about this right from the beginning of the new model (JL) too bad Jeep hasn’t bothered to fix this in the past THREE years..

Update FCA & Jeep Cares was zero help. The Dealership located a part and installed it yesterday. I go to pick up the Jeep today.

Update us on how it drives/shifts. My new trans is jerky and shifts into second almost immediately...like 4 mph. Must be the mall crawler shift package.

So they replaced the valve body. The jeep shifts okay I don't notice anything wrong. Before it happened there were no signs everything seemed fine. Sitting in Drive at a stop light as soon as I took my foot off the brake to go that's when my problem happened. I wasn't able to shift in any gear it was like I broke the linkage. I wasn't even able to shift it in neutral. Mostly being a new vehicle with only 500 miles you wouldn't expect this to happen. Mad as hell that they were talking at least sometime in March to get a part was ridiculous. I was able to locate a part then dealer had part shipped to them. Like I said Jeep needs to have more parts on hand so this doesn't happen again.

Where did you locate a valve body part? Maybe I can take the same path as you since I am in the same situation.

I messaged member on this forum AllMoparParts.com they located part, then I called leads and gave information to dealer. I say I was lucky there were only two to be found.
