Toyota in the past, just started owning a JL :D
Thanks a lot for uploading this!
Seems the 3.6L eTorque is only available for Sahara.

Very curious initial engine config. It will be interesting to see how/if it gets adjusted as the MY rolls forward.

If I’m reading it right Sahara gets the eTorque as an option with the 3.6 and gets it as standard with the 2.0t. No eTorque for the other models/engines listed.

Curiously, the Sahara 2.0T engine is referred to as “etorque” but the rubicon 2.0T is not referred to that way. I assume that it is the same engine.

Those of us outside of the US, so export models, never got the eTorque with the 2.0t in our Rubicons. Yes it’s the same engine, it makes the same power and torque but doesn’t have the extra power away from standstill that the eTorque provides. I think eTorque also helps with the mpg a little.

Why would they not offer their top engine in their "Flagship" vehicle... the Rubicon???
The Rubicon gets the 3.6 with 24 valves and variable valve timing...no eTorque.

@rubicali was pointing out that only the Sahara gets the eTorque with the 3.6 (as an option). eTorque comes as standard with the 2.0T Sahara, again only the Sahara appears to get this.

Only model that gets eTorque engines is the Sahara. Rubi and Sport get non-eTorque variants of the 2.0T and 3.6.

Curiously, the Sahara 2.0T engine is referred to as “etorque” but the rubicon 2.0T is not referred to that way. I assume that it is the same engine.

It's great that they are still offering the same 3.6 24V VVT ESS that they have for the 2018-2019 models. But, I think the 3.6 with E-Torque is going to be the sweetest option and I consider this engine their "top" offering. I don't understand the reasoning for why it is not available as an option on the Rubicon?
