2020 Jeep Wrangler rubicon recon edition pentastar v6!!!

I just found out yesterday that I have a 2020 Jeep Wrangler rubicon recon edition with a v6! i know Jeep promoted the recon edition to come with only the 4 cylinder turbo, but yes I have a 6 cylinder with mine… anyone out there also in the same situation as me? I want to know how y’all end up ordering it with a 6 cylinder. Below is my window sticker.

Congratulations!

Always good to find out as much as you can if you have bought a used Jeep. I did the same to figure out what I had in my Willys. I knew from the get go that it was not as well equipt as a Sport S but that was okay with me.

Getting a build sheet might also help you with you discovery of what your Jeep has also.

after you put in your VIN Number will give you a page by page report of what is on your Jeep. I like to review BOTH so that you know things like the area it was being shipped too. Someone may have told you it was a Jeep from New Mexico only to find out it was originally sold in Upstate NY!

Not that I’m aware of, but we do have forum members actively contributing from around the globe.

There are some country/region specific Wrangler features, options, trims, etc., which differ from the US versions, which may potentially explain your Canadian V6. Good luck with your search!

Looking it up it state's that the XR package was released in Aug. 2021 in the US.

Or is the recon edition different from the extreme recon edition?

Recon edition is different compared to the extreme recon.
recon edition comes with hood and fender vinyl , gloss black grill , metal bar on steel bumper. 4xe rims. 33 inch mud terrains , red seat belts. Full leather dash with contrast redstitching , Mopar hinge reinforcement , recon badge.

I have a '20 Recon. It's the U.S. version and is the 2.0. One interesting thing I note about your build is the Customer Preferred Package for the Recon edition is code 24Y. Mine is code 28Y. Does the other panel listing the rest of the optional equipment list any changes to the powertrain?

Mine is a Canadian wrangler . and no it just says v6 pentastar on the top left of the window sticker lol . no special option for it . But even in Canada they only released a 4 cylinder version.

Nice there’s other people out there . I just found out that Australia offers with the 6 cylinder but without the vinyl on fender

Nice Jeep, I guess it was a limited model run for 2020 in canada only. Be curious to compare two build sheets see if they are identical.
