We have a 2-door Rubicon. Neither of us wanted a 4-door Sahara, Rubicon, or Moab. By default... it had to be a Rubicon if we wanted a matching white hard top and a 2 door model. We would have bought something other than a Jeep if all we could get is a basic Jeep in 2-door.

I went to a dealership to special order a 2 door rubicon today.

Apparently they are unable to pair the 3.6 with an automatic transmission at this time.

Does anyone have any intel on this?

In another thread it was reported that if the dealer marks the order as "sold", you can pair the 3.6L with the auto.

Thank you! Yes he was correct, once you go to a “sold order” you can get whatever you want.

I got the order placed August 11th and at in D1 status. The wait it on!

Yeah I think the whole thing about Jeep dealers only being able to order the 2nd week of the month is for non-sold orders as well.

As a side note, sold order also means they put your name on the window sticker and I think sold orders have a higher priority as well.

How long from order date does it take from moving from D? I’m on day 8.

I'm learning that it is variable. I ordered on July 16th, was D1 July 24th with estimated ship date of 8/4... 8/4 came and went...but moved to E on 8/6, then JB on 8/7....And I'm in JB status still. I added a lot of options, and well, I'm stuck in the adding options phase... I guess that's what I get. Here's what they told me today via chat:

ETA N/A Status: additional equipment (JB)
015 days in
Vehicle has been built and is pending installation of additional equipment.
• This is a necessary step when additional features or optional equipment packages are added to the vehicle.

Another guy on this forum ordered his July 24th and it's at the dealership. We both got 2 door Black and Tan package, but I added stuff, so I wait :)

There hasn't been a 2 door Sahara, although it does feel like the 2 door is being left out. No moab or altitude options either.
I think the 2 door is targeted towards folks who really want to enjoy the car to the fullest and beat this thing off road without all the kids and/or friends in the rear seat of a 4 door. Sahara is pretty much a mall crawler as we all know it and Moab is based on Sahara and not on Rubicon as one would think. Moab was a total waste in my opinion and I'm glad it's being cancelled all together. Altitude edition is just another way to make more money for FCA without any real benefit for the buyer. Now they give us something similar in form of Black and Tan edition: a few extra stickers here and there and all leftover surplus of tan colored interior things nobody wanted to buy before, but now for a lot more money to make it appear as it is worth something, lol.

Hey guys, I'm looking to order a 2020.

Could anyone tell me the difference? What would I be losing/gaining.

Sport S with tech group, convenience group, led group, and lsd
Vs
Base Rubicon

They're about the same price

You will loose the standard Rubicon stuff, like Dana 44 on both ends, 4.10 axle ratio, real lockers, higher fenders, cool hood..... Gaining? Options are the same kinda on both, except that Rubicon has nicer (imho) Mopar leather seats for cheaper and not the Katzkin ones for $1700....

Can anyone confirm that this package actually includes rubi shocks AND springs? If so that would give it the rubi stance from the factory and I wouldn't need to do it myself.

Also- what's the difference with HD Brakes? I'm planning on pushing the limits as far as tow capacity so maybe this is a good idea.
