I've seen some threads from previous years similar to my issue. I bought my jeep new and have had recurring issue where I get a single loud pop, radio goes black and resets itself. Happens when sitting still or driving. Have taken it in a few times for this, dealer replaced stereo. Still having problem and now it has been when I get in it stereo won't come on at all until after a few restarts of vehicle. Started case woth Jeep, 2 star cases have been opened on it and not getting anywhere. Anyone have some info to help or have the same issue?

Under the hood, behind the battery, near the firewall, is the fuse box. Open it up and push down on all of the fuses and fusable links. See if that fixes it.

I had the exact same problem if I plugged my phone in to the USB. I took it to the dealer and had them do a firmware update and it hasnt happened since.

it happens to every 5" unconnect radio. Replacements will just keep doing the same.

I said f it, rather throw money at other parts right now and plugged in an old ipod to the center console usb and charge my iphone off the 12v port now and don't have any issues.

Pro tip - music on the ipod with cord is actually louder than via phone bluetooth so for the time being its working out better for me anyhow
