I cant click the "watch this thread" box quick enough.

Love seeing shit like this.

Are you just bringing her to stock or are you going to make it the next SEMA rebuild?
Main goal at the moment is to get it back on the road. Depends where I am budget wise after that.

Here is an example of a board cleaning. Before and after an ultrasonic bath.

Even after cleaning what's the odds of that board working???? Plus, staying working???

Kudos. If I had this happen to me I would rebuild it also. Can't wait to see it back to life.

Agreed. In curious as well. If it had current running through it when it got wet, the board should be toast.

Just curious how you organize all the bolts, screws, clips, fasteners, etc. when you pull everything out? Do you label stuff or just put in tubs or do you just know how everything goes back together? Nonetheless, impressive feat if you can pull it off!

Zero. There is way those caps are not fried, not to mention that controller. Those boards are definitely not rated for any water ingress.

Even if he has to replace every control module on the BUS, which is extremely likely, it's not going to be "that" expensive.

I am sure the work will suck, but assuming he can recover the engine, I think he should come out ahead.

I take it Jeep no longer pots their boards? Seeing how they're pretty much thowaway modules anyway that's a shame...

Likely they do for boards that live outside. However, the additional costs for interior controllers is not worth it.
Despite the opinion of some on the forum, one cannot reasonable expect their Jeep to be a boat and still function after the first attempt.
