2019 residuals look to be worse than end os 2018 residuals which makes no sense since the 2018's are already one MY old.
My Sahara residual will be 63%!

FWIW- here are all of the residuals. This is for 15K miles/year and 36 months.

JLU:
Sport is 70%, Sport S is 67% and Rubi is 62%

JL:
Sport is 61%, Sport S is 61% and Rubi is 60%

No idea why these are so low

If they are that low and they don't lower the MF to compensate, it will put me out of the market for a JLU when the lease on my WK2 is up. What a bummer.

Noob here in terms of leasing. Does that mean if the car was $50,000 new, and residual is 63%, you would need to make the following payment each month?:

$50,000 x .37 = $18,500 / 36 = $513.80 payment each month

That doesn't account for the money factor (interest) on the "loan" they are making to you.

Your actual payments are more than just the depreciation on the vehicle.

Just spoke with my dealer a few minutes ago about leasing. He said the residuals for my 2019 JLURubicon is 67%. Certainly lower than the 2018s were getting. He indicated that a $55k vehicle would lease at $680/month. $630 for a $48k vehicle. I was thinking it was going to be in the low $500s per month for 36 mo.

I wouldn't take dealer's word for anything as far as monthly payment quotes
Need to know Residual and Money Factor for a particular model and we can calculate the monthly payment.

Plus tax, fees, and money factor. Add in another 8% lease fee if you are in Chicago.

Stupid question. Are residual values based on the MSRP or negotiated price? I assume is based on 36 months.

I wonder if Jk values dropped due to the JL being out? That could have had an influence on JL.

Do you know what the residuals are for 36 month 10,000 miles?

I just visited a local dealer today. 68.5% residual for a Rubicon @~4.4 APR- FCA credit. This seems to be in flux for the 2019 since it's fresh to the banks.
