2019 Rear Fender Protective Film

I just noticed this on my 2019, I was wondering if the 2018s have it also. There is a clear film/sticker on my rear fenders (about 3.5in x 17in), hopefully you can make it out in my photo. Looks like it will help (somewhat) with the rear fenders eating minor road debris, mine seem to be the dirtiest part of my several day old JL. For reference, it is a 2019 2 door Rubicon (with obviously body colored fenders).

Ok, thanks for the responses. I tried doing a search, didn't see anything. And I don't have a 2018 handy to compare.

OK, now I'm curious as you say "any" JL has it but my wife just asked last night where to get those as she has scratches in that area already. Apparently our didnt receive them. I'll look myself but if it was supposed to get them and didnt I wont be pleased! Is there any clear protection available for the front fenders?

ADDED: We have a Sahara, wondering if only Rubicons get that protection?

I've got the black plastic and it doesn't have the 3M clear tape. It's taking a beating with these KO2's.

If you don't have the Rubicon you can use mud flaps to keep rocks from being flung up and dinging your fenders and door hinges.

I was going to find a good rock slider with some width to act as a block but that hasn't happened yet.

Better put mudflaps on or those will be torn up really quick. I used an universal mudflap on my Rubicon 2door and I don’t have any rock chips.

Front fenders or the front of the rear fenders? This website sells the film for the front of the rear fenders.

I'm guessing Rubicons only. My Moab doesn't have it.

Probably Rubi's with color fenders only? I have a Sahara, don't think it has the 3M plastic, too lazy to go look! It dos however have mud flaps so...?

Just went out and checked and my 2018 Sahara has front and rear painted fenders completely covered with PPF (paint protection film)...This came like this when I purchased it....

I also have PPF under all the door handles and door edges....

Well now I just feel cheated!
The only film that mine came with is on the cowls.

Never mind! My fenders are covered too, just fit so well it's hard to even see the edges.
