Isn’t there his most likely permanent and the Sahara 25G and Rubicon 25R will be the only option.

And I’m guessing the 22G and 22R will be replacing the 23G and 23R with BSG bc 24 was already used

Yeah, that's my assumption as well.

A Getrag 238 is already used by swap companies and holds up to the torque of the 6.4 hemi.

In it's top form it rated for something like 530ftlb of torque. This would work perfectly for the ecodiesel.

Any news on the remaining trims? I'm really hoping the BSG V6 and/or ecodiesel get a manual transmission option.

I'm really hoping that 22 really is a hemi. Even if auto only which would be a darn shame. Though don't expect it. Actually releasing a hemi would mean they couldn't get everyone drooling quite so hard at Easter Jeep safari every year.

I order the 2018 with the Manual, love it.

This is why I'm waiting for the official announcement before I buy one. I'd kick myself of I bought now and could have gotten a manual diesel.

I want one too but figure it will take a year or two at best to work the bugs out. Look at the first year GC Ecodiesels... hitting a large puddle or slush in the winter would snap the DEF injector off the exhaust and leave the vehicle stranded... hardly “Trail Rated”. I ordered a 3.6 manual 2019 Rubicon and will trade for a diesel in the second or third year of production.

With FCA riding the struggle bus trying to keep the Ram 1500 3.0 CRD in production, don’t be surprised if the JL never sees 2-3 full years of 3.0 CRD production.

Has anyone been able to order a diesel? My dealer said maybe 2021 before 3.0L hits the market.
I’m tired of waiting.
