    Some facts (from JLWF Homepage):
    • The factory is 3.65M sq ft large
    • the current daily output is approximately 1,000 JL’s (2 door and 4 door models combined, on the same line)
    • this output is achieved by running two 10-hour shifts daily for 6-7 days per week
    • the Toledo North plant has a 320,000-unit annual capacity
    • 6,000 total workers at the Toledo North plant
    • Toledo North plant makes all Wranglers sold worldwide

New narrated video describing the production stages:

Are your serious?!?!?! You posted this on the day my JL apparently made it's way down the assembly line, so of course I had to watch it. I just want it in my driveway already!!! Hopefully Santa has room for it in his sleigh :fingerscrossed:

I geek out over assembly lines, process engineering, and robotic automation ... but with Jeep as the subject matter, that's the bomb. Thanks for sharing!

Weird, only 12 minutes, I was thinking the video length would be at least a week just for I status my Rubicon is in. :cwl:

The robotics are amazing, it's like watching our Jeeps being built by the Matrix. I was waiting for a Keanu Reaves cameo...lol.

    (Satire)

    A couple of questions/comments:

    * Do the robots at 0:35 ever get into fights with one another....say when one hasn't finished and another bumps into him trying to get to the same space? Does this happen more after a the robots go out on "pub night?"

    * At 1:31 when the rigs are getting (I think) primed in the fog, does FCA play the theme to 2001: A Space Odyssey to get the rigs psyched up into becoming Wranglers? They ought to.

    * When the woman at 3:36 comes home for the day and her daughter asks her to work with her on her play book of stickers, does she go postal?

    * Does the worker at 3:55 wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat to hearing his/her spouse say to them, "you were saying 'Wrangler Unlimited' over and over again in your sleep?"

    * I'd like to have seen the off road pages pitch and roll diagnostics installed before the 4:05 mark, just to piss them (the diagnostics that is) off as revenge for certain aspects of their not being enabled yet.

    * Am I the only one that things that what's about to happen at 3:24 isn't much dissimilar from this:

    * At 4:45 I could swear the guy in the red hat is saying to the one in black one, "can you imagine the idiots that don't install the 7 pin towing wiring harness at this time?"

    * I saw the guy at 5:01 in the parking lot the other day. He kept on saying to himself, I don't know why, "mirrors and pillars, mirrors and pillars." It was so bizarre.

    * Police upon response: "Sir, why did you call the police."
Man: Well I asked my wife, she's the one at 6:01, to get me the drip pan out of the garage when she asked me to change her oil, and she went nuts in response. Plus she keeps on making fun of me every time I brush my teeth with my new electric toothbrush saying, 'you think THAT's a 90 rotary device pussy?' "

    * I'd like to see the robot at 6:36 suffer from occasional vertigo.

    * When the woman at 7:49 took a writing composition class at night school, she killed her teacher simply when it was suggested to her that she put a "dash" in a sentence.

    * 8:58 is exactly what my rig looked light when I parked it overnight one night in the South Bronx.

    * Bi-annually, can I bring my rig to the place at 9:18 to get the tops swapped?

    * My neighbor is the guy in 9:58. Seeing as he's big and strong I asked him if he'd help me swap out my hard top. Generally a nice guy I couldn't believe myself when he replied in rage, "no f_ing way!"

    * 11:24..this is clearly the power soft top car wash test.

Joking aside...I mean no disrespect to the fine people of the UAW. I was sorry to see their flag flying at half mast at the end.
