Looking at leftover inventory. It's like 3 or 4 to 1 on those 2.0L eTorques left compared to the V6 on the Sport S.

They produced many more. Additionally with a new model year out people tend to buy that. Hopefully they slow production on these vehicles a bit.

The 2.0 e torque , much like manual transmissions are only popular in the forums. In real life not so much.

Strange, about 80% of the JL's I see out and about are 2.0L BSG. I see very few 3.6L in the real world. Perhaps it's an east coast thing.

All the 2020's thus far have been 2.0L's, obviously without BSG on most models.

I assumed this was the same everywhere - but guess not?

My local dealer claims to be ranked 9th in the country for wrangler sales volume. They have ~200 on the lot and the split is pretty much at 50% for each engine. They only have 7 2019's, and those are 5-2.0L, 2-3.6L.

They weren't selling well around here. My 2019 had sat on the dealers lot for nearly a year before I bought it. And I had actually stopped and looked at it twice in that year, but both times were when the dealer was closed so that a salesman wouldn't bother me. Each time I had decided not to talk to the dealership about it because of the 2.0T engine it had in it. Otherwise, it was exactly what I wanted in a new JL, even the color was right.

I needed a pickup with a higher load capacity than my Power Wagon though, so I finally decided to trade the Power Wagon on a Ram 3500, and buy a Jeep again for off road. I bought the Ram 3500 from the local dealer, and asked them if they could locate a Jeep for me. They asked if I was interested in the one they had, and I said I didn't like the engine. They asked me to at least test drive it, so I did. Boy was I surprised, I loved it. It was easily the sportiest, best driving short wheelbase Jeep I had ever had. And they made me a great offer, because they had been sitting on it so long. MSRP was $49,188, and I got it out the door for $42,755. So I'm kind of glad the 2.0T JLs weren't selling well, because now I have a great Jeep, and I got it for a good price.

Lol,

The Jeep site is amazing for checking local inventory, you can see all the 2019s and I scientifically counted. But I have no idea how many they ordered.

Autotrader is more accurate and up to date. I assume you’re speaking of leftover 2019’s where the price is higher (vs ‘19 3.6) for 2.0 eTorque because it’s not available on anything but the Sahara for 2020.

Guessing this is why the Recon only comes with the 2.0 BSG. Gotta clear them out somehow

Realise that this forum is not a good indication of breakdowns of actual sales figures in the real world.
