Sometimes it’s the little things….

on our recent trip south of the border we were able to pick up the two BOH from last years trip to Moab. Hoping to get back there soon and earn some more.

As this was mostly an indoors job I installed the paddle shifters and updated the Tazer to activate them.

Finally got around to installing the tailgate reinforcement.
While I may have preferred the Teraflex piece this allows me to keep the tail light guards though I may need to trim one very slightly.

The KC C3’s that have been sitting in a box since new might have found a home.
I tried them on the Trailhawk but they just didn’t sit right somehow. This presents two challenges on Mica;
1. I’m out of factory auxiliary switches so would either have to connect them to the same switch as the Daylighters up front or rewire the underhood lights to a regular switch to free up an auxiliary switch inside.
2. It effectively means I’ll no longer be able to lower the windshield as disconnecting these would be a bit of a pain (makes a 5 minute job a 30 minute job).

They’re not hooked up yet but should they stay or go?

Well, I decided I‘d rather be able to drop the windshield than have extra lights. I also noticed the way the wires ran it pushed the cowl panel out very slightly.

They’re removed for now at least.

Found an unused Evo Protek skid plate on marketplace and with help of a buddy with a grinder made it fit the 2 door.

Installed the Mopar trailer brake controller tonight.
Looks like I’ll have to get an update on the ABS module as it doesn’t like the emergency brake button being pressed. This is a known issue with a TSB attached, will see if the dealer will do it on a JL since it’s technically for a JT.

An easy installation once I realized the MORE dead peel bracket was blocking one of the mounting holes. I’ll trim the bracket down at the weekend and reinstall the dead pedal.

I love my Reign, but if Bikini Blue had been an option in July of 2022, it would have been a hard choice... but to be fair, I feel the same about Mojito and Punk'n...
