It's been a long time but I also recall the last of the YJs(1995) getting a package that had some of the TJs improvements. I think it was called the Rio Grande and had an updated 4 cylinder and maybe a few other improvements.
Just pointing out that final year updates DO occasionally happen...
The 2.4L I4 didn't come until much later, not with the Rio. Some late YJs got the 4.0 I6 update though.

The late JKs might get the PUG, but wouldn't count on it will all the associated ECU programming required, and the transmission programming and torque lock-up converter bluntung it's benefits. The YJ and TJ shared the same transmissions unlike the JK/JL, so makes it more of a clean break, but could happen.

As for the axle, the Recon already updated that.

Considering that the 2018 JK order banks open in just over two months, I'm rather surprised that more info hasn't been either found or posted yet. I would have thought we would have known what we could expect by now.

Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on perspective) not much change forseen for the final JK.

Colors are always a hit and miss for the late availability & special edition colours. Has nothing to do with Milous' info, it's just how things turn out.

To which... I'll believe ACID Yellow once it arrives. Would love another crack at a Recon in yellow before they're gone, but will wait for the model & colour lineup for JL.

Nice to see glass panel option for JL hardtop (like a better version of JeeTop?) according to its own thread.

Also wish the JL's manual was identified like it is for the auto, was hoping for an higher torque option like the 8HP75 instead of the 850RE for Rubicon+ trim to allow for future diesel/Hemi mods, so hopefully the manual is rated for above 500NM/370lbft.

LoL, like clockwork , September 1st FCA provides another new Model Year JK Press Release.;)

Surprised to see Baja back, right before JL gets Acid and Dozer... err... Nacho. I don't think I've ever seen so much Yellow in the Wrangler lineup in one calendar year. :surprised: :like:

Is Willys Wheeler considered a package under the Sport line then? Not listed in the model lineup, but looks like WW should be available based on the "Tru-Lok® Locking Rear Differential available on Wrangler JK Willys Wheeler and Freedom Edition".

So based on the new sheet, the mpg didn't change, I was really hoping it would be better.

Why would it change on the JK? The Engine, Transmission, Transfer case, Axle Ratios are all the same.

Nothing changes until the JL, then there will be 3 MPGs to chose from just from engine alone let alone each variable in the chain.

I keep checking jeep.com to see what these new editions are going to look like, but nothing yet. Does anybody know when jeep's website will be showing the 2018 JK info? Seems strange to me that you can already order the vehicle and there is zero information on their website.

Does anyone know if the 2018 Unlimited is expected to have AC vents in the rear? I’ve got a baby and a three-year-old that will need some AC blowing back there. AC for the front seats is not enough and I’m really hoping that jeep finally puts some vents in the back. That’s the only thing holding me back from buying the current version.
