I bought this rubicon new in September 2018, I build a new car or truck every year or so and have always wanted to try out a Jeep, I don't daily drive it and is still awaiting some future mods, it is not a rock crawler really just something that will go down the trails here in the PNW or though the snow without issue this is where i am so far.
Stock just tinted the windows and added a shorty antenna.
CAVFAB Spare delete, Color matched and satin black around the camera housing, Also Vector UFO's to cover the holes on the rear gate.
I live in the PNW but am from riverside CA, OMF has built a lot of wheels for me i had them do a new set of ICON Compressions for me in 17x8.5
wrapped them in a set of NITTO Trail Graplers 37x12.5, i have used these tires on other builds and really like them there a mud terrain but still really quiet on the road.
I then installed the MOPAR factory lift, this is not intended to be a rock crawler and did not see the point of running some crazy kit i did not need, i am happy with the kit.
Then went with and AFE intake and High tuck exhaust, I've used AFE a lot they are from my home town there products always fit good and look good.
Other parts had finally started showing up including MOTOBILT front and rear bumpers, FABTECH front and rear fenders, Roughcountry 30" hood mount light bar, ORACLE Oculus 9" headlights, Morimoto XB foglights.
The parts were dropped off at Champion collision in Sandy OR where i live they were color matched and sprayed with Line X.
To install the front fenders you have to trim off the stock fender mounts, i did this and then had Champion colision smooth out the area and color match it as if the mounts were never there.
Installed the rear bumper first
Then the front bumper head and fog lights, skid plate and light bar.
I then mocked up the driver side fenders, made some adjustments and then installed them.
Then the passenger side.
All fenders installed, the FABTECH fenders come with hardware to reuse the factory fender liners which was one of the reasons i wanted these fenders, i trimmed and installed them and to say the least its not worth doing there rears don't sit in the wheel well nice and they flop in the wind, and the fronts are about the same i scrapped the idea of using them and ordered some MOTOBILT aluminum inner fenders.
I did not leave the front wires like this i was just test fitting these before powder coat, i made the necessary trims and made a nice casing for the wires.
Had them coated at Portland powder coat in wrinkle black and bright white.
During the build time the suspension had plenty of time to settle and without the spare tire the rear did set a little high so i installed a set on Rock Krawler spring correction pads and Teraflex 0.5" load level spacers in the front, also removed the emblems on the front fenders.
I then had the fenders wrapped with XPEL paint protection film at Elite protective films in Boring OR.
My Quake Redout tail lights came yesterday, took around 20 mins to install and are a huge improvement over stock, I went with the red to keep some color in the rear i think the black one's would of been a little boring.
I still have a few more things i will be doing including, Dana 4:88 gears, Dana diff covers, MOTOBILT rock sliders, FOX through shaft steering stabilizer, and the rest of the exhaust system which AFE offers to make a true full exhaust, also a side note i have the AEV pro-cal snap to adjust my tire size for the speedo.
