I owned a 2.0 w/ eTorque and drove a few 2.0 ESS. There is definitely a noticeable difference right off the line. The eTorque's assist helps to get the wheels moving. It's only a half a wheel rotation but it's noticeable. The power and acceleration felt the same once moving.
I agree, but I think we're talking about different things. My comments are more in relation to the "sprinkling of cocaine in the intake" feeling. It's the super steep torque curve when only applying moderate throttle.

We are talking about different things. I was refering to what #catskillsalex said about a little more “oomph” off the line.
