I’ve seen $9k off MSRP for 2020’s. Am I missing something here?

They will advertise those prices but usually your can’t actually buy for that price, they tack on all the incentives and you usually don’t qualify for all of them then add in dealer fees on top , but if you can get that deal on a 2020 that’s a really great deal

My buddy ordered and received a 2020 Sahara 12% off MSRP ($6k). Considering 2 year depreciation, and potential issues with 2018 models, im not sure if 9-10k off msrp is the greatest deal.

@ShineJL did you look at the pricing on their site? They have a 2020 Wrangler Sport S w/ pkg 22s, 2.0L, hardtop, automatic, & technology group for $29,000. Best pricing I’ve seen online. Can I get better pricing ordering one?

They also have 2018 & 19 unlimited msg at discounts.

Do these "super deals " have any fine print extras attached ?? Fees, surcharges, hidden costs add up quickly. Destination charges ? "Document " charges ?

Well I was happy with 22% of msrp with no dealer fee even with it being a 2018. 12% off a 2020 is a good deal too but I used the extra saving to buy rubicon take offs and side steps!

Listing dollar off MSRP is misleading because of the huge difference in prices between Sports and loaded up Rubicons/Moabs or even Saharas.

For instance, I got "only" $6k off my leftover '18 JLU Sport S w/ hardtop was a pretty substantial discount considering how few options/margin it had on it. Sure, it was "only" 16% off sticker, but there's no way that dealer was going to offer any less. And with only a $250 doc fee, it's not like I got gouged with fees.

Expecting 20% off an '18 Sport or Sport S is probably unreasonable unless it's loaded with pricey options.

When you look at 2018 JLs, look at the build date. Because of the late introduction, build dates for 2018s extend past the normal changeover to what would have been 2019 model year build.
My 2018 has an October 2018 build date. That's a 2019, by normal build cycles
My 2018 Sahara JLU is the same. It has an October 18 build date, which would have normally been a 2019 Model.

How do you determine build date?
Need to look at the VIN sticker on the driver's door jam to determine build date.

Mine was an 8/18 build, for whatever it's worth.

It’s the 2.0 turbo and the 18 model helps. They are giving away 2.0 turbos.
