I'm looking at a 2018 MOAB MSRP $54,990 with an initial price of $48,000+tax&fees. How much better should I be able to do? It's in So Cal which of course means somewhat irrational dealers. I'm almost thinking that for an almost 2 model year old car I'm better off ordering a 2019. Thoughts? Thanks!

I would order since that price doesn't seem to be discounted at all for as you stated almost 2 years old. Join Tread Lightly to at least get 1% off your order

How is almost $7k off not “discounted at all”?

People report here that they are negotiating 2%-6% off invoice on 2019s and really steep discounts on 2018s ..... 15% or more off MSRP.

It is reported that 2020 models will start to build in July and might be available to order as early as sometime in June.

So, it may be that in 6-8 weeks that 2018 Moab will literally be a 2 year old, brand new, Jeep.

I wouldn’t touch that 2018 Moab unless I got an amazing deal —- significantly better than the above. The dealer MUST move that Jeep quickly if he intends to sell it and not put it in the loaner fleet.

I just bought a fully loaded 18 Rubicon JLU. MSRP was $58,055 and we agreed on $48k + tax and fees.

I’m located in NorCal, not sure how that compares to SoCal.

I think you can do better.

I got the exact same deal 3 months ago in NY state, so you should be able to do better.

Thanks... I'm in bay area also. Can you say what dealer you bought from, and would you recommend them?

Check out Hoblit Jeep in Woodland Hills. Near Sacramento. I just bought mine from there last week. Got a Moab for 50k.
