So we all know the 2 Battery system. My aux switches for the past month have been giving me a warning of needing to be charged before use. I also had my battery die once when I was working on things and left my doors open and ign on for a bit. Day after thanksgiving went out to drive it and battery was dead from overnight, so I knew it was time. I was able to use my portable jump pack to start it each time with no issues.

So again 2018 JULS I4 original owner, purchase a dozen fender clips and a AUX14 battery.
  • Watched a couple Youtube videos just not to screw things up.
  • Remove the 4 10mm bolts, one xmas tree clip, proceeded to yank fender off. Boy were those clips brittle I busted all but one, in one way or another. No worries had enough extra.
  • I disconnected the turn signal light and put the fender aside.
  • Removed 3 10mm bolts to drop battery tray. Figuring it was going to be heavy so made sure to be prepared.
WTH?

The tray was EMPTY?
Yes the tray was empty...
There no wires to be found to be hooked up.

With the etorque setup with a battery warning tells you the battery is not fully charged and the 48 volt battery is not able to recharge it. Could be several reasons for this. Could be a bad 12v battery? Could be something that the dealer needs to examine with the specialized test equipment? First thing to do is get a load test on the 12v battery. If that battery tests good then take the rig to the dealer.

Thanks it is all taken care of.
