Jeep Noob here. Since the JL Sahara's come with plastic/rubber bumpers and side steps, where/how would you use a Hi-Lift Recovery Jack or similar to help get you out of a stuck situation?
One of the requirements to get a local 4X4 permit for our local beaches is that each vehicle has to have a recovery/lift jack and jack plate. I have no problem buying one, just curious if it would be even usable with a Sahara.
I would appreciate any replies.
Thanks so much.

You won't be able to with the plastic steps. Either invest in some good rock rails or you'll have to remove the side steps when you go off roading and risk body damage. Most newer bumpers aren't strong enough for a lift point.
