2018 JL sport power door locks

Hi everyone ... newb here... just picked up a JL Sport this weekend... love it... and didn’t care too much to upgrade to the s, but would like some power locks installed. I was looking/reading around and it looks like the 2017 power lock kits/actuators are a bit of a hassle to install on the 2018. Has anybody found a kit that installs easily or some other solution (just working with generic actuators) that doesnt take too long? Thank everyone... looking forward to many upgrades!

I have a custom shop here in NY working on ordering the OEM parts to install but everything is on backorder... once all the parts come in and if it turns out well I’ll recomend them

Just had this done. They put in factory door latches and used a viper keyless box. They forgot to do the back door so I have to bring it back in.

I had it done in ft Walton beach
, FL called restylers. Order them online at moparpartsdeals. Half price. They also added a quick disconnect next to the factory harness so I can remove the doors.

Im still waiting on the oem wiring harnesses... how much did that set you back? Like $50 or so for each door? I shouldnt driven down to florida!! Haha

80 each door for labor plus parts. And I had to buy a viper remote lock box.

Awesome. I got a compustar with the drone system - pretty sweet. Thats already installed... hopefully I can get those power locks soon. Thanks!

romeoz - I'm assuming they have to add lock actuators? Is that part list complete that you posted? I'm thinking you'll need harnesses for each door as well as actuators, right? Does your system also control the lock on the tailgate?

I'm looking at a JL Sport and the only thing bugging me is power locks missing. Trying to decide if I need to order a Sport S or if I will be ok with a regular sport by adding the power locks on later.

Hey guys im having this done on my sport currently and they have had my Jeep for going on 4 days now.... they are now saying they are having trouble with the tailgate/ fifth door for those who have had this done and someone help a sister out and hook me up with the part number/numbers needed for the tailgate. They have me on a viper box as well

The only thing that was missing on my list was the rear latch. The wiring was all aftermarket wiring. They actually made quick disconnects on each door next to the factory ones so I can remove the doors.
