2018 JL Sahara 3.6 Auto with rev hang?

I have a 2018 JL Sahara with the 3.6L and Auto transmission. Whenever I rev the engine (going up a hill...) when I let off of the throttle the rpm's will stay up for 3 to 5 seconds before they go down. Is this normal or do I need to take it to the shop? This is my first Jeep.

I’ve seen this in my 2018 GC Trailhawk a couple of times so I’m inclined to say it’s normal.

They do that for emission purposes. bugs the crap out of me as I have a 6 speed manual
