Rubicon shouldn't be the upper tier, luxury edition...Sahara should.

Rubicon SHOULD be a base Sport with the off-road add-ons. Then add what you want from there. But it's not. My '12 has tons of stuff I didn't care for that drives the price up (heated mirrors for instance). And I ordered literally the base model...6 spd, soft top...zero options on the build.

The Willys was a pretty good compromise...but would like to see it with more of the Rubi parts available for options.

Exactly. Packaging sucks. Like the diesel engines...you can only get diesel engines on upper trim levels. That's true of Grand Cherokee as well as the new Colorado and I hope they don't do that to Wrangler. The good mechanical stuff should be available on ALL trim levels. Then the electronic goodies should be what gets you into the upper trims only.
