Thanks for the tip- I’ll probably swap out my home run to the battery hook up the trailer brake later (not needing it this far and not ordered yet). When I do I’ll look at using the 12v for the flat 4.

I installed the Tekonsha kit and tied into the 12v power in the rear. Very straight forward installation. Pulled a trailer for 14hrs in the past 10 days and worked great. Just didn't see a reason to run wire to the front of the Jeep if I wasn't hooking up the brake circuit.

What wire did you tap into? Is there a 12v wire that’s outside the Jeep that’s easy to get to?

It was the feed for the 12v DC outlet at the rear of the Jeep on the driver's side. You have to pull the trim off but it's not that bad.
