2011 Jeep Wrangler 3.8L ECM Engine Computer

Hi folks,
Well, I love my Wrangler Sahara but I have not been able to drive it for 5 month. I'm not technically inclined and my idea of off-roading is going over a curb but I love going over curbs. The problem is that I was told that I needed a new computer and none appear to be available through the dealership and there is no indication that anyone is manufacturing them. I bought a 2nd hand one from Flagship One which had to be programmed to my VIN number but it didn't work, which I've heard is not an uncommon outcome. One thing I'm wondering is what the connection is between the VIN number and the computer. I had to change the engine a few years ago and I'm wondering if that's why the replacement computer didn't work, that the VIN number I provider does not factor in the replacement engine. But I don't know if that's relevant info. Flagship One was not helpful and it seems to be above the pay grade of my local dealership. I really do not want to give up on my beauty. Can any of you educate me on this. I'm in Halifax. Ken

Thanks, bud. Will check these links out. Gotta get my Wrangler going again. I'm driving a friends car but five months in without my Jeep and I still have the urge to give that little wave each time I pass a Wrangler. LOL!
