That is a way cool box. The mechanics were all fighting over it. They ask if they could have it. I made them wait a few minutes in anticipation before I said they could have it. It would make a good work shop table or something.

Please report back on how it handles, your various thoughts, etc. You have the first Mopar 2" lifted 2 door AFAIK and any report would be helpful. Pictures, even with stock wheels would be appreciated!

There has been a lot of debate about the Mopar 2" lift. Some say it lifts the Rub 2" and the Sport/Sahara 3.5". This would make sense if the Rubi is already 1.5" higher (like some have said).

Oh by the way. Kingsland, TX. On lake LBJ just outside of Marble Falls. Marble Falls has a way cool trail at Hidden Falls. Ever heard of it?

We will be headed down for Thanksgiving, might have to check it out.

Here's some photos with stock rims and tires. Also a measurement photo that shows to the bottom of the door. I don't know how much I'll know about the handling since this is my first jeep in 26 years. Last one was 1992 wrangler. What I can do when I get the new rubber, is report on the clearances.

How much did they charge for the lift and how much to install?

My out the door cost was right at 1800.00. 1250.00 for the kit, 400.00 labor plus uncle Sam's part.

Wow, that’s a great price. Most have the kits listed for around $1300 - 1500 and labor seems fair. Thanks for sharing your project details . Can’t wait to see it with the new tires and wheels. It looks really good now.

I'd be curious if anybody want to measure theirs. From the ground to the bottom of the door. With or without lifts and tires. But especially with 35's and a lift.

Well, I ran out to do a little business and you guys asked for a pic. So here it is. It looks a little goofy with the factory rubber on it. Mind you I still have to order up some wheels and tires. I'm thinking Method rims and 12.5 tires.

I've installed quite a few light/level kits, and honestly, something about that doesn't look right. It kinda looks like a coil and spacer lift combined.
I'm in Lakeway. Swing by and be more than happy to take a look at it.

I believe the 20 x 9 wheels make it stand a bit taller then a wider rim & tire

But if your gonna off road than 20" rims are not the best way to go

So here's the wheels and tires. Still gonna get a front bumper and some steps. Measures 27-1/4" at the door sill, so I started at 21-3/4" and now at 27-1/4". That's a total of 5-1/2" from a 2" lift and 35" tires.
As far as the ride, it seems a little "twitchy". Again I don't have a lot of experience with the jeep ride since I haven't owned one in many years. I'm
going to take it trailing this weekend to check clearances!

Anybody ever just mounted a 35" spare directly to the factory tailgate? Do you "have" to buy the whole re-enforcement and relocation kit or is that just more money they try to sucker us out of?
