VERY COOL ?

I'm in the exclusive 2% JLR club & THE "LIMITED" DEUCES ✌?

My dilemma was I wanted a manual 2door but I didn't want the v6 again... I live 7K elevation and play in the higher mountains and the v6 just loses too much power and mpgs suck with 37s. So I choose the 2L i4Turbo which doesn't have a manual option. I am very happy with the engine power on & off road PLUS I'm getting 20mpg with 37s and 2.5 lift... SWEET SETUP ? The only better option for me would be the future twin-turbo v6... UGH ?
PS the v8 is not a consideration due to its <10mpg with >37tires...
Agreed. The 3.6L v6 with a manual at 7.4k feet was incredibly anemic. This time I did the diesel. Love the torque, no matter the altitude. And, of course, it doesn't sound like a vacuum cleaner ;)

Yes, #1 mod for the 2L Turbo is to get a better muffler. It's like night and day when you get rid of that OEM beer can. I did the delete option for a while but then got the aFe MACH Force-Xp Hi-Tuck 3in 409 SS for Jeep Wrangler JL Axle-Back Exhaust. ? better!!!
CHEERS ?

Why they don't offer [the 6MT] on the 2.0T is beyond me. Ford has a manual on their turbo 2.3, so that shouldn't be an excuse.
The Aisin 6-speed that is paired with the Pentastar is operating near the limit of its torque rating. As the 2.0T has an observably higher torque specification than does the V6, the current iteration of the manual gearbox would need to be uprated, or replaced, to be compatible with the turbo four.

There's a perfect parallel between that issue and the stronger 8HP75 transmission that is compulsory when ordering the 392 or the [now NLA?] Ecodiesel.

I was under the impression that people bought the 2 door for its short wheelbase. There's already an extremely well-selling alternative with a longer wheelbase and more cargo space.

Yes, stop trying to stretch our 2 doors. They already make a big one, leave it little.

Makes sense - didn't realize the 6speed was near its limit. Guessing Jeep didn't want to invest in beefing it up.

I love my 2 door Rubicon, 6 spd manual, standard V6. Had it 4 years now. 26K miles, zero issues.
flat towed 20K miles. Zero issues. I might take it in for all the recalls some day.

Its the same crowd that is pushing for a 4-door Corvette... SMH
The 2 door proportions are perfect and the inside space is better as a 2 seater.
Lots of sports car and truck proportions have been ruined by the addition of the back doors... Why does everything need to be limo-sized... UGH!!!

My 2-door 2-seater below... how are the proportions wrong???

Perfect in EVERY way.

4 door, ass hanging out all the time, me an my JLR dodge, weave thru rush traffic like Emmentt Smith carried a Football down range. If it gets jammed up, it's 4 Lo and up the side of the Canyon walls up onto the exit ramp or jump the curb in the center go the other way.

This, every day of the week (and I say that as a JLU owner.)

I still miss the coziness of my YJ. But for my personal use case making the four door Wrangler the best choice, I'd have ordered a JL.

Said differently, horses for courses.

Leave each one alone.

The only thing wrong with this picture is you need half doors.

We're trying! :) But for private sellers usually listing them for $1-2K+ above published MSRP, before shipping, more of us would have the doors.

And then there's the matter of finding the correct color doors; if not, add another four figure line item for paint-matching. It's not easy.

Yeah, I read JPAloha's epic journey trying to match his Jeep. They are awesome though and I think they look much better on the 2 door than the 4.

Truth... I understand the need for a 4 door... and just between us (I like the way my wife's JLUR looks) But I don't understand how they say the 2 door proportions are off. That's how a "jeep-sized" Jeep looks from day one.
Its like saying, I don't like the proportions of a 2 door Porsche or Mustang or Charger. now that they have 4 door options.. Yes, Jeep made a 4 door option that can look good but the original also looks good, if they are both built correctly... :)

Coincidentally, just yesterday I saw a vehicular blob that I couldn't identify (which is rare for me). A closer inspection revealed it to be a Mustang "Mach-E". It reminds one of a bloated Mazda. Said blob bore no resemblance whatsoever to its namesake.

It's tempting to conclude that the OEMs are just pulling straws these days.
