Agreed. The 3.6L v6 with a manual at 7.4k feet was incredibly anemic. This time I did the diesel. Love the torque, no matter the altitude. And, of course, it doesn't sound like a vacuum cleanerThank you for taking the time to respond and post this data.

I'm in the exclusive 2% JLR club & THE "LIMITED" DEUCES?
My dilemma was I wanted a manual 2door but I didn't want the v6 again... I live 7K elevation and play in the higher mountains and the v6 just loses too much power and mpgs suck with 37s. So I choose the 2L i4Turbo which doesn't have a manual option. I am very happy with the engine power on & off road PLUS I'm getting 20mpg with 37s and 2.5 lift... SWEET SETUP ? The only better option for me would be the future twin-turbo v6... UGH ?
PS the v8 is not a consideration due to its <10mpg with >37tires...
