I sold new Chevy trucks in the 80s including diesels with manual transmissions. Back then you could get anything you wanted. just order it.

Manual in either platform would require a new manual transmission. Don't see that happening...

Sadly don't think Jeep thinks there'd be enough diesel sales in 2DR to warrant it. That or they don't want to put 420lbs of torque into a 2000lb vehicle...:D

The 2 door weighs a lot more than 2000 lbs!

Unfortunately though I think you’re corr3ct that we’ll never see it in the real Jeep. Hell I’d take a V8 too if they offer the option.
