Curious if anyone went for 34" on their 2 door non rubicons. I'm in the lift / tire planning process & I feel 35"s are too much for the stance I'd like to see, but 33"s to little. Some photos of 34" with lifts (and what lifts) would be awesome :)

Big fan of the 34x10.50 r17. 7 lbs lighter than the 315 or the 35 and measure out at 33.5" tall.

We ran them on another Jeep (Not a JL) for years. Worked well on and off road.

The problem is they are ~$80 per tire more than the 315/70R17 and a bit harder to find. (I guess noone wants to pay extra for less tire!)

Running 285/70R17 now because the market is currently flooded with cheap sets.

Interesting… I wonder what other pros there are besides the weight?

This is my JL with the Clayton 2.5 inch lift and 315's. BFG states these tires are 34.4", but at 32 psi, they measure just a little under 33.5".

Is this a manual and what gearing? If so, how's drive on 35s?

Yes, it is the 6-speed, and I just had it regeared to 4.88's. It is a world of difference. I was one of those people who said, you don't need to regear with 35's, but now that I know the difference, I wish I would have done it sooner.

The narrow footprint has benefits at times. Turns a little better, less likely to pop off the bead. Squeeze through places that wider might not.

They did surprisingly well in sand aired down. On a lighter vehicle I don’t think you give up much flotation. On a full size truck or a diesel 4-dr it might make a difference…
