An interesting counterpoint from the owners manual (p53):
“The hard top is not designed to carry any additional loads such as roof racks, spare tires, building, hunting, or camp- ing supplies, and/or luggage, etc. Also, it was not designed as a structural member of the vehicle, and thus cannot properly carry any additional loads other than environmental (rain, snow, etc.).”
Which begs the question - Why does Mopar offer roof racks for the JL?
Regardless, I do plan on putting on a roof rack because there just is no room inside. But is a RTT pushing the envelope a bit?
