Finally made it out to Colorado to go off roading with friends. Stock 3.45 rear is too tall for both the interstate (turning 2000 rpm at 90 mph) and trails (4L in second was the sweet spot and I was still going too fast with the Rubis in front of me in the pic).

I’m not going any bigger as this is my daily driver grocery getter. Debating a 3.73 or 4.10 rear. Wonder what each would turn in 6th gear going 80 mph.

Going from 3.45 to 3.73 gearing would barely be noticeable and a waste of $ IMHO. You should go test drive a stock rubicon with 6 speed to test the 4.10s. Many people feel like the stock rubicon is is a bit underpowered with the 6 speed....80mph is right around 2400rpm.

Below is a helpful gearing calculator that seems to be fairly accurate. If you care about crawl ratio and gas mileage running 33s with your 2.7:1 transfer case, I would go 4.56 gears bc the pentastar likes to run a little higher rpm.

Part of that crawling in low gear from your Rubicon buddies is the 4:1 transfer case.

Thank you all for steering me away from 3.73s!

4.10 or 4.56 it will be.
