2-door Wranglers existed for 20 years before a 4-door option was available, and they sold just fine.I also know the 2-door probably would not exist today without the sales generated from the 4-door and probably the Gladiator.
The introduction of the 4-door was a game changer, however, and it drastically improved sales. 4-door sales now control 80% of all Wrangler sales. But, I cannot see Jeep EVER discontinuing the original 2-door.
I sold my '97 TJ after 14 years and began to regret it almost immediately. Even now that I have my JL, I still have fond memories of my TJ. I think it was the most iconic of the Wrangler models.Ya'll killing me with these photos. The practical grey matter says get the four door, but the other side is yelling get the 2 door. Already got a 2-door TJ - so much fun.
