I love the look of this setup. Can you tell me what parts you added to carry your kayak? I have a tandem kayak and have no way currently to get it to water. TIA
It's a dee zee rack on the jeep and a rhino rack t-loader in the hitch. I just strap it down at the roof rack, spare tire carrier, and t-loader. Rhino makes a rubber strip that fits in the slots of any rack. Works pretty well for keeping the kayak in place and not scratching anything.

Are the links, track bars, and control arms on an XR different from a standard Rubicon?
I believe the links and the lca are different, as are the shocks and springs to a Rubicon. The links were longer and so was the lca in comparison with my Willys.

If you don't mind, how much did regear cost?

Here are a few pictures:

2-door with the Rubicon springs and stock wheels (I think I had the leveling spacers in at this point):

Clayton 2.5" Overland+ lift with stock wheels (rake is back and the JL just looked goofy to me):

Clayton 2.5" Overland+ lift with BFG 315's (current set up):

Just in case you were wondering, I went 12 months without a regear. I would highly recommend the 4.88's with the manual transmission:

That yellow, tan, gold combo is fire 🔥. Nice work!

So how much lift is really needed to clear 35s off-road on a Sport/Willys? 2.5”?

Technically, I think you can get away with 35's and no lift if you are trail running, especially if you have the highline fenders. The 2.5" lift I have (which is more like 3.5") looks right and lets me get through most offroad obstacles without histrionics.

Love the look of Wild Thang! To fit the 33's did you need to install a wheel offset adapter kit?
Thank you. I believe the stock rims are a +44 offset. My AEV Savegre's are a +25. Do not have wheel spacers on now or before when i had a set of Gladiator Rubicon wheels.

I like the rear bumper, what is it?
Amazon special, I bought the Jeep a week before a planned harley trip to the 4-corners states. The wife and I decided to take the Jeep instead, and amazon was the only place i could get a bumper to our doorstep in time. To be fair, it held up well for the two years we had Jeepeto II, and survived 6 weeks in Moab. I think i paid like $175 at the time, it had little or no reviews.

Edit: do note it doesn't include provisions for the licence plate. I had to test my fabrication skills (practically non existent) and make a small frame out of 1" angle iron that i attached to the bumper with rivnuts.
