I am kind of in the same boat. To whomever said the Rubi has a lot I don’t need but offers everything the sport can’t get.... EXACTLY. However I like creature comforts so I am torn between a Sahara or Rubicon. Bottom line is I will be getting 35’s. To put them on a Sahara alone needing a lift and hi fenders the 3K difference is already gone and with the Rubicon you get better axels, ratios, transfer case, ed sway bar, better resale, power dome hood, etc.... you get way more in a Rubicon than 3K over a Sahara

For some reason, the Sahara has never appealed to me...takes on the luxury look/feel...very non-Wrangler.

Looking at the 4 door (still holding out for the diesel JT), but here's where I'm at...

Seems like a VERY well spent $5.5K

Good comparison.

Guess too depends on how long you planning in keeping it.

Rubi features are worth it if in for the long haul.

How do you order the dual tops? I don't see that option.

I only spec'd as 4 door unlimited. Don't think they have the dual top available for the 2 door yet.

Seems like for the 2dr Rubi JL, it is going to be a bugger seller than it was in the JK.

Anyone else deciding between the Sport S and Rubi?

I am. I'm leaning toward the Sport S (even though I've always liked the Rubicon) because I don't plan on doing any off-roading and I don't plan to do any mods or anything after market. I can't justify spending the extra 7K or so. Seems like for my purposes most of the extra money goes to things I won't be using. About the only thing I like better on the Rubi are the rims, and that's not worth the extra 7K for me.

I'm new to Jeeps. People mention the Willys as the configuration with the off-road chops, but not so many of the creature comforts. I wish that was on the menu now, or at least had a production date.

Question: Will the bigger Rubicon tires be louder than the Sport S tires? Or no difference?

Since I'm asking about noise, similar question: Is there a significant noise difference inside with a soft top versus a hard top? In other words, is it noticeably quieter inside with a hard top? I'm sure this issue has been discussed for years/decades, so pardon my ignorance!
