Well Betty goes in for more R&D tomorrow and will be gone from me for a couple days. Jenn says my parting gift will be tube doors with mirrors. Sounds interesting. I never even considered them. What's the advantage of them? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

1st battle scars today...500 miles on the highway when something large and loud scared the hell out of me.

Thought it was windshield but didn't see any cracks. Looks worse than the pictures and I can only assume it was a large piece of highway concrete wall barrier kicked up by the car in front of me. Bam! Shotgun.

Oh and also death decided he liked my car and sat on the hard top to critique his work

Wow... that’s bad for a brand new baby!
Well, I took a nail in my left front tire, so had to spend 1 1/2 hours this morning changing my tire. Fix or replace, will see when I go to the dealer Saturday.

didnt you want tube doors? only reason they perked my interest was because they said they had mirrors on them. i wasnt really interested otherwise. our neighbor works for e-autogrilles and asked to scan our jeep. i have no experience with their products or with tube doors, thats why i am asking. i have never had or considered tube doors but i cant complain about the price. EAG has several different ones on Amazon, anyone have any experience with them? lol Chistina, Jenn is my significant other.

I know she is! I thought you said Jenn, on the video? Seems she knows her Jeeps too! Sorry if I renamed her?
I don’t know about tube doors, but I think they look really cool. I may consider later on, but has to go on my wish list for now. So I’ll have time to see how you like them. If an old jeep veteran like you will like, then I will be sold!

Well, let's say that you do leave your plate numbers visible on the photos that you take of your vehicle. Maybe, somewhere along the way, you rub someone the wrong way and they realize that you live close to them because you post your location. So, they just happen to see a vehicle that looks like yours in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart and since you allowed your plate to be visible, they know it is you. Maybe they just show their displeasure with you by keying your vehicle. Maybe they follow you home to see where you live... Maybe they have some ulterior purpose and the security concerns escalate from there. It's easy enough to blur the license plate number before you post the photo online, so it takes very little effort and possibly gives you a bit more security. It protects people from the casual nut-job. Since the NSA is reading everything we post, it doesn't protect us from the *professional* nut-jobs though.

Of course, you can also just use the smudge feature on your photo editing software to make it look a little less like you just pixelated the plate or use the spray paint tool to obscure it. Maybe something like this?
