IMHO...2.5" lift with rubicon fenders looks proportionate with 37s. At 3.5" lift, 37s start to look smaller and it looks better with 38s or even 40s if you chop fenders.
Here's my 2.5" lift with 37s and adjustable arms...tempted to go 3.5" to get another inch of belly/bumper clearance, but I'll really want 38s at that point. I'll prob keep the 2.5" and chop the fenders to gain more uptravel.

I like those wheels with the red cap. What are they?

you get any rubbing?
I had slight rubbing in the rears, not enough to worry about. No rubbing in the front at full lock. I ended up chopping fenders with the complete AAL kit, both front and rear. Pics below. No fender rub whatsoever now.

I had hoped to lower my bumps after the chop, but my shop told me that any lower and I’d be rubbing pretty hard at full stuff. I’m into my bump stops pretty frequently.

I’m going to increase my lift. Probably to 3.5”, maybe more, and probably still Evo. Not sure if I’ll just buy the larger coils for the enforcer kit I have, or if I’ll upgrade to their long arm kit.

great info, thanks for taking the time.. You know Teraflex has there falcon progressive bump stops.. they are only 100 bucks for the set.. i have the on my current jeep.. and I never feel any bottoming out.. might be a good quick temporary fix for you, till you can drop some bigger cash on a reconfiguration..

Looking at these pics, some of the front control arms are at steep angles. That has to hurt ride quality, brake dive and cornering.

Other pics have horizontal front control arms. Wondering if some lifts came with brackets to flatten out the control arms close to stock, or if they purchased geo correction brackets of some sort?

Just my observation.

so for my pics, the EVO kit I used is their “overland kit” which means it has the geometry correcting drop brackets for the front control arms.

Hi Mike, some of them are deceiving, I have very little , almost no nose dive and it handles great on the highway. here’s an example, I stretched a tape bolt to bolt to see the actual angle of the frame to the axle then I stretched it where my long arms will be and you can see it’s very little difference. .... so with long arms I’m probably not gonna see that big of difference on the highway , but off-roading I should see a big difference.

Nitto 37’s and MC 2.5 were just right for me. Plenty capable for what I use it for and handles great on the road.

Looks like your 2.5 lift gave you a bit more . Some 2.5 lifts don’t seem as tall

Metal Cloak rates their lifts on fully armored jeeps. skids and steel bumpers. On a stock JL, you get a little more. Not a full inch but a half or better. No doors or top also takes away some weight.

A week ago, we added 1/2" in the back to account for sag when pulling our camper. With the ultimate dana 44 up front, it sits perfect. Just the right amount of rake.
