I have been reading forum after forum and the more I read, the more confusing it gets. Memorial Day is around the corner and I suspect some sales will be happening. I have a Rubicon and looking to lift 2.5". Like what other people have posted, I am a weekend warrior, but mostly on muddy trails, do not plan on doing rock climbing. This is also my work vehicle, so it does see plenty of highway miles. Was thinking about Rancho RS5000X or Bilstein 5100 shocks. Even read Fox 2.0 because of their ability to be able to be rebuilt, it is more expensive but if it goes on sale, well that is a game changer. It's a jeep, it will be a rough ride. I like the way my Rubi rides so if all of these shocks ride the same as my Rubi, I will go for the least expensive, or the one that is on sale (assuming all 3 are reliable). I like sales, I can wait for them. For springs the Pro Comp 2" or Old Man Emu med duty springs, are these fine or is there anything else better? Of course when I say better, I mean within this price range, there are always better springs for those Jeepers that do extreme trails. The jeeps tires are just under 33", I may go 35" but that will require re-gearing and that can be for the next adventure. Will wear out these tires first. I have read that I can get away with some cheap lift kits but have read more negatives than positives. What have you installed, it can even be a kit but preferable, individual pieces, I feel I can get better quality with individual pieces? If individual pieces, please list all because I am not that familiar with what is needed. I do plan on installing it myself, not to be cheap but I actually enjoy learning more about my jeep. Rome was not built in a day and so will not be my jeep build. I love adding to it so the more sales I can find, the more I can put that money towards something else. Just added a pool ball shifter with my teams logo on it, little things like that I enjoy adding, any help would be grateful. Since I had to choose a prefix location, I just gave away my team, Who Dat. lol

You'll probably have better luck posting this on a JK forum not a JL forum and also not on a marketplace thread

Wrong spot for your post but just do yourself a favor and pay for Metal Cloak, Rock Krawler or Clayton and be done with it.
