I’m considering this lift, as I have been impressed with several of their other aftermarket parts I have on my JLUR. Is anybody out there running this lift?

I also love Maximus-3 products and ran them on last Jeep and also this one. However I did opt to not run their lift. For the price there are better lifts out there. I am sure they are high quality, but maybe just not the best value.

Thanks for the reply. What 2.5 would you consider under $1,800?

The control arm brackets seem weird on a 2.5 lift. They were good value to me on the 3.5 and swayed me over from Clayton to avoid tearing up my driveshaft cv boot.
RK provides the springs anyway for Maximus-3, so their 2.5 seems a good fit. Is the 2.5 a temporary stop for you or the current end-game?

this will be it for me. Will run 37’s. (Currently running stock suspension and 35” ko2). I also tow a 2,800 lb camper, so need the lift to be stiff enough to handle that. I think my tongue weight is 225.

my goal is towing the camper around and doing some wheeling, probably nothing too crazy.

I was on the border for that exact lift from RK. But ended up w/Synergy and got Fox shocks. I don't think you would go wrong with that lift. at all from RK.

So I’ve been looking around tonight at lifts, and came across this at quadratec. Thoughts on this one? Heck of a discount. They also have the monotube shock option for the same price.

I'd order that right away! That is a crazy good deal. I would have ended up with that if it was available when I ordered my lift.

Only thing I had read about that kit was shocks. Some had issues but that was awhile ago. They are rebuildable too so that is a bonus.

well this escalated quickly! I went from asking about a lift to ordering a completely different one in a matter of hours.

Yeah, fitment says JL 2-door fairly clearly. Good news, just springs to change. They’re usually not too expensive. 2door shocks might ride better.

I’d check the spring rates too and compare to the 4 door version. If they aren’t too far apart I’d stick with those springs. You’re likely to only lose about 1/2” or so is my guess.

thanks, I’ll look into this. I’ve heard good things about rk.
If you don’t mind doing a little leg work, I had a guy come for install that bought his RK lift individually, because he couldn’t find one in stock. It came out almost the exact same price. Between , river city off-road, NR 4x4, Quadratec, etc... he found all the parts in stock.
Just something to think about, here’s a list of what you need to do Rock Krawler lift.....

Front coils - 180
Rear coils - 200
TT shocks - 320
Front lower control arms - 370
Front track bar - 233
Rear track bar relocation bracket - 100
Front sway bar end links - 120
Front/Rear coil isolators - 50
Bump stop kit - 73
Total..... 1646.00

Of course this is just a quick estimate of NR 4x4 web page, with coupon codes, and /or sales you can probably shave a couple hundred off that. Again...just another approach, and I’m sure you could do this with any lift, but this is the one I’m most familiar with and the one I always recommend based on my experience with it.
Good luck with your build........✌
