I just saw this video and signed on to see if anyone else had. Was anyone else pleasantly surprised? At sea level and in more controlled testing conditions, it could definitely be in the high 6s which is pretty respectable. Id be interested to see the lighter 2 door too.

He does say one test was slightly down hill and the other slightly up hill.
I'm looking forward to a more controlled test and a comparison at the same time to the Pentastar.
Would like to see a head wind test between the two.
Would like to see a passing test at something like 60MPH between the two.
IOW Looking forward to a head to head test between these two under many conditions.

6.84 seconds 0-60 for the 2lt. Now that's quick for a brick and nothing about turbo lag.

Probably 7.0 - 7.2 seconds stock. He ran both directions and it was a second slower going the other way,

Hopefully APR will develop a tune for it. Should be easily worth another 50 hp and lb/ft torque!

Autoweek informal testing shows the 2.0 L having a 7-second 0-60 versus the V-6 having an 8-second 0-60.

Its still quick at 3000 feet above sea level. 2 door should be quicker
This is a turbo and if the boost is controlled, it probably lets the turbo spin faster until it reaches the maximum boost pressure the engine is made to handle. So, even at a lower elevation, the maximum power might still be the same. Also if this has the eTorque, it'll help getting off the line just as it would at a lower elevation. So both down low and up top might not be any different irrespective of the elevation.

Turbo lag is not measured this way. In fact, launching from high revs eliminates most noticeable delays associated with turbos and that's why drag strip racers use stupid big turbos and win races against no-lag supercharged cars almost every time. In every day driving you will notice turbo lag in the 2L JL/JLU in the mid-to high rpms because the eTorque takes care of the low end responsiveness.

Agreed. Wait until people start modding these little beasts.
They have and always will mod the V6s too and they make the same power (slightly more actually) as the 2L without turbos or forced induction. The useable gains on the V6 3.6 will be more. A positive displacement supercharger on a Pentastar gives around or over 50% (140+HP) increases (e.g. Sprintex and Magnuson) and centrifugal SCs (RIPP) and turbos (Prodigy) give equal or more (but up top in revs). Sprintex supercharged JKUs can do 60 in low 5 seconds (sometimes under 5) which is 2 whole seconds faster than the 2L in the JLU (and they're completely drivable too) :D
