Mine stays in the garage as well. I usually remote start then head out. Sometimes I wait sometimes I don’t for the rpms to drop. I live on a hill so I find that it jumps between 2-3 up and down shifting before it’s warmed up enough though. Just curious to what everyone else does.I keep mine in a garage so I just pop the door, turn the key & back out. I do baby it as I have every other vehicle I've ever driven until it comes up to temp. Frankly I still baby it after it comes up I'm not a aggressive driver.
I let mine get to a 100 degrees before I set off. It usually takes a couple of minutes. On colder mornings, I'll hit the remote start. So we all know the 2.0 sounds like a jet engine at a cold startup for roughly 1.5-2mins.
Do you guys let it idle out and the rpms drop to or below 1K before you get going, or do you start it up and let her rip?
No, coolant. I never push it hard until fully warmed up.Talking trans right not the coolant?
