So I just purchased a 2023 Rubicon XR with the 2.0. In doing my walk around I’ve noticed that I can’t seem to get a good reading on the dipstick. Every time I read it the oil level shows drastic overfill, like 1” above max fill.

I tried all of the tips from this site, inserted a specific way, let it drain, pulled out swiftly, etc .

I’m worried that it is over filled. Jeep only has 150 miles on it at this point. Do I drain and refill where I know and can verify how much goes in? I don’t want to continue driving if it is overfilled.

Cold and hashes pointed toward the engine? That's the only way I can get it to read, even then there is oil all over it.

Dealership overfilled my wife's last week and I got this 5 dollar hamd pump from Harbor Frieght to take a quart out. It was all the way up to the bend in the stick 2inches ish above top hole, max line. Warning that this pump won't work with supplied dipstick tube...it's too flimsy like a tube of heat shrink so I got this 1/4 thick walled poly tubing to shove down the dipstick hole deep enough into the sump to pump out.
