Thereā€™s no codes, they just check the torque on two t-30 bolts. My dealer wasnā€™t even aware of the issue, but we got a recall notice on the My Jeep app for 21-22 dated 11-29.
Thanks, I am sure local dealer here has no clue about the TSB. Will print it out and bring to them in January. Will be interesting to see what their ā€œcodesā€ show.

Hereā€™s what the app now shows for mine, hope it helps.

The campaign details in the PDF specifically note that the fix is to "remove the fasteners and add thread sealant." This gives more weight to the mention earlier here that these likely didn't leave the factory loose; they just don't have thread locker on them, and they should.

Obviously tightening them right now yourself will likely save you from something catastrophic happening and leaving you stranded, but don't think that that's a permanent fix. You'll still want to take it in to be done properly, or they're likely going to just back themselves out again.

I'm curious for those that are tightening them are you backing them out and applying threadlocker or only tightening them down?

This is the threadlocker I've on hand. There are instances when a generic product will work for most applications, but for this job I decided that using a specialist formula would provide the desired peace of mind.

I couldnā€™t get at it on my wifeā€™s 2023 which is not subject to recallā€¦.. not into gimmick tools but ordered this on Amazon for $17.99. We shall see. Based on how close I got with my stuff (1/4 drive, wobblies) looks like it may do the trick.

KAIFNT K451 Ultra Low Profile Screwdriver Bit Set with Mini Ratchet Wrench, 1/4-Inch Drive, 23-Piece
So my ā€˜21 Rubi was done under the recall. My wifeā€™s ā€˜23 Sport was not subject to recall but was able to work this little tool in from the front for the top bolt on hers, and around from behind the brake lines for the bottom bolt and they are tight. My 1/4 inch drives wouldnā€™t work, this little drive was perfect.

Will keep an eye on them and the coolant dip stick, but betting the factory finally added thread locker.

I got bit by this the week before last. New 2022 Wrangler Sahara with 9500 miles on it. I was sitting in a parking lot waiting to pick up my son when I suddenly had a craving for pancakes. Once the craving passed, I realized "Oh boy. This can't be good..." I got out and looked under the car expecting to see a small puddle of coolant. Instead I saw coolant literally pouring out from under my Jeep. I managed to make it to my girlfriend's and swapped my wrangler for hers. I dropped my son at his mom's and picked up a bottle of Prestone coolant on the way home. I topped off the coolant and drove it to the dealer the next day. Luckily it was a cold morning and the dealer was close by, because I had to stop every few minutes to let the engine cool down. I had read about the TSB the night before, so I safely assumed that was the issue. They told me that it would take them a few days to get to it, but offered me a Cherokar as a loaner. When I got my Wrangler back, they wanted to charge me $250 to flush the coolant because I had put in the wrong type. I talked them down to $150, which I reluctantly paid.

While I was waiting for them to complete the repairs, I came across this article.

Trust me when I say that the irony was not lost on me.
